Today’s Small Town Times podcast highlights the differences of opinion and common ground between former councilor Dave Mendicino and Coun. Mark King, current chairman of the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board.
Several weeks ago, STT host Dave Dale was trying to set up a podcast debate between the two but King was not having any of it. North Bay news hounds will recall that King and Mendicino were on opposing sides during the rift between the Casselholme Home for the Aged and a portion of council and staff regarding the $120-million reconstruction project. He thinks Mendicino’s love for podcasting is just part of a long campaign to run for council again in two years.
King ended up on the Echo Essentials podcast with Dale and Scott Clark, with a segment of it in this podcast to focus Mendicino’s critique, with a link below to the full show.
Also addressed in the STT show, the former councillor was asked to address whether or not he’s running for council again.
